Damage: A lot of OTC scam companies have a real

A lot of OTC scam companies have a real product. The classic was Spongetech, which sold soap infused sponges. They were actually an excellent product but priced to high. Spongetech had their product in CVS and had buyers run around and by the product off the shelf. So, CVS ordered lots more and Spongetech was able to "prove" it was a big hit with enormous reorders. Spongetech also advertised in many major league sports venues. Skip forward a few years, the company is defunct and the whole chain of command was indicted with lots of federal felonies.
Spongetech had a real product and was an incredible scam. The question is whether Marani is the same deal?
