As for the legality of Nulief, I have made several attempts to get an answer on that from Inergetics. Just as many are asking, I wanted to know why they initially launched through dispensaries, when it was my understanding that CBD derived through hemp was 100% legal for distribution throughout the US.
Well on Friday I did get a response from Jim Kras, President and Chief Marketing Officer at Inergetics. He briefly stated the following "In regards to Nulief, we have chosen a careful path to retail. Branding and controlled distribution first. From there we will leverage our key learnings and retail network as we put in place safeguards and protocols for marketing and sales. I'm sure you can appreciate this from your days at P&G. A little test marketing is what we used to call it." I am now trying to follow up to get a handle on the timing of this test marketing and will post what I find out.
I can appreciate some initial test marketing, but getting this out to retail quickly is crucial. I have to believe they are also currently working on securing retail distribution for the near future. It takes time to get agreements for retail distribution and after having worked in this capacity for many years with P&G, I know what is involved to get a new product into distribution. Nulief is in a brand new category, that is somewhat controversial for some, so it will take a precise marketing plan to convince retail chains to stock and promote the product.
The other issue is the fact that they can't make any claims as to what Nulief can provide. We know it is designed to treat pain, but how do you market it, without being able to say so on your packaging and in your promotional materials? This is probably what they are test marketing right now.
The other issue is that they are also waiting to see what is going to happen in the legal arena for CBD derived from marijuana plants. If it looks like the federal laws will change to make legal CBD derived from marijuana plants, it would open the door for additional products very quickly. This would change their entire marketing plan, that would include a whole myriad of additional CBD products that they have been working on. In that case they would look to sell in a number of CBD products to make up this brand new category.
At first I was somewhat disappointed about how they were approaching the Nulief roll out to the retail chains, but now I can understand why they want to make sure they have all their ducks in a row before taking this to the retail chains too quickly and getting shot down in their initial distribution presentations. This is going to take careful planning and the right strategy to ensure a successful launch into retail chains. They have taken the time to carefully create their first branded CBD product and they don't want to blow any retail distribution by rushing too quickly with this critical step, that is the most important of all.
We are ahead of the market in terms of taking CBD to retail outlets and they need to work quickly in their test marketing, in order to get Nulief on store shelves as soon as possible to take advantage of no competition as long as possible. I am hoping to speak with Mr. James and/or Jim Kras this week to get a better idea of what this test marketing entails and how long it will take.
What should excite every shareholder is the fact that Inergetics has taken the time and effort to get to this point that is about to pay off in a very big way very soon! They now have the upperhand in the CBD market and as they begin to implement their marketing strategy in the coming months, shareholders will begin to see for themselves, just how big this will be for this small company. It is truly their opportunity to secure the big sales and profit margins to alleviate the previous financial hardships that caused their share price to fall to such low levels. As I have said many times, this is the greatest opportunity in the entire OTC markets! NRTI is truly in the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME with the RIGHT PRODUCTS! Now they just need to employ the RIGHT STATEGY, which is where we are RIGHT NOW! Get ready it is going to get very exciting in the coming weeks and months! Cheers!
