TORONTO, ON --(Marketwired - April 13, 2015) - ViXS Systems Inc. ( TSX : VXS ), a pioneer and leader in media processing solutions, today announced that it has extended its family of XCodePro products for professional and infrastructure markets with the launch of its XCodePro 370 decoder. As HEVC and UltraHD 4K make further strides in adoption in the broadcast market, the XCodePro 370 integrates new features such as High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 12-bit, part of a product roadmap that continues to address current and future Digital Video Broadcast requirements.

Most leading companies in film production, broadcast distribution and consumer electronics indicate that mass adoption of 4K Ultra HD requires High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 12-bit color depth, ViXS responded with the world's first professional decoding silicon solution supporting those requirements. The XCodePro 370 maintains support for current and previous video standards, enabling ViXS' customers to deploy products that will successfully support, prepare and groom broadcast content as it evolves from HD to Ultra HD to Ultra HD 12-bit with HDR.
