Northrop Grumman Proud to Support Soldier On 'Hand

CANBERRA, Australia – April 9, 2015 – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC ) is proud to be the major sponsor of the 'Hand Up' program of Australian veteran support charity, Soldier On.

The 'Hand Up' program, which is now being rolled out nationally, was launched by Prime Minister Tony Abbott in Canberra Tuesday. The initiative includes comprehensive support programs that assist veterans and their partners to become independent and productive members of their community, with the end goal of gainful employment.

Enabled by funding from Northrop Grumman and in partnership with a range of service providers, the Soldier On 'Hand Up' program will offer free diploma level courses in Business Administration, Graphic Design, Information Technology, Accounting, and Management; workshops and short-courses in a variety of fields; vocational assessments to identify existing skills and up-skilling opportunities; resume assistance and interview preparation; placements with some of Australia's leading businesses; and a dedicated employment portal for jobs available and flexible for wounded veterans at all stages of recovery.
