As part of the collaboration agreement, Sanofi Pasteur has the option to acquire certain worldwide rights to use VBIV's LPV(TM) technology in its vaccines. The vaccine candidate and the terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

After the closing bell on Monday, Clovis Oncology, Inc. (CLVS) said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Breakthrough Therapy designation for its investigational agent rucaparib as monotherapy treatment of advanced ovarian cancer in patients who have received at least two lines of prior platinum-containing therapy.
This means that the FDA will expedite the development and review of CLVS' rucaparib, an oral, potent inhibitor of PARP1 and PARP2 being developed for the treatment of platinum-sensitive ovarian cancer in patients with BRCA mutations (genes that are linked to breast and ovarian cancers) and other DNA repair deficiencies.
The price of CLVS stock surged more than 7% in extended-hours trading.
