The OTCMarkets skull icon has this text with it:
"Buyer Beware. There is public interest concern associated with the company, which may include a spam campaign, questionable stock promotion, known investigation of fraudulant activity committed by the company or insiders, regulatory suspensions, or disruptive corporate actions."
It is meant to protect a disinformed public investor by informing him/her that the stock has shown signs that may indicate the price is being manipulated.
When a stock price skyrockets and then sinks, or when it has high volatility, there is a concern that someone may be manipulating the price. The price maybe manipulated by a third party, even without THCZ knowing. THCZ was quick to release a statement saying that they were not aware of any promotion or price manipulation on their end. But there may be others out there who are buying and selling large volume of shares and generating news releases to either help promote the stock or sink the stock.
The skull icon simply warns the public that this stock shows signs of movement that are consistent with the price being deliberately manipulated.
Several of the marijuana stocks have gotten in trouble in the past year for reporting information that was misleading, and their stocks are now frozen. I believe (or would like to believe) that THCZ knows better than this and is aware of the heightened scrutiny in the marijuana sector. I also believe that since THCZ was not releasing the new statements themselves, then THCZ is more focused on growing its product and not its stock price. It was other third parties that were releasing the news and running the price up. As long as THCZ maintains its focus on developing their product, their stock should do fine in the long run, one the third parties move on to other endeavors.
