Observation: This OBV exercise is clearly showing that MRIB is in a rising field trend. Volume precedes price. On the current pps contraction, we need to not break the previous down movement that occurred on 3/20 of 9,556,812. If we hold that number and instead break the 3/30 cumulative OBV number of 28,772,788, it will once again confirm we are in a rising field trend.
4/02: The pps closed at the same price as the day before so there is no change in cumulative on balance volume. It's considered a standoff between buyers and sellers when that happens. Although there was no change today with respect to daily on balance volume, buys at the ask were greater than selling at the bid by 3 to 1 showing positive intraday accumulation.
Note: An UP designation is used when a previous cumulative OBV high is broken, and a DOWN designation is used when a previous cumulative OBV low is broken. UP/DOWN designations get transferred from the previous day on days there is no price change.
There are three possible field trends based on OBV Data results: Rising, Doubtful, and Falling. It's purpose is to determine if accumulation/distribution is zigzagging up or down. It takes 2 up movements and 2 down movements before a field trend can be determined....
