Re: Faustus #18760
Saying my math collapses and showing how it collapses are two entirely different things.

I've been pointing out since 2010 that PTOI would have to pay market for the HDPE, LDPE and PP scrap plastics needed...at the same time the longs were "ROFL ROFL ROFL" because they believed Mr. Bordynuik when he said PTOI would get the needed plastics for free and even get paid to take those plastics.

Here we are 2015--PTOI ended up purchasing plastic...and still couldn't make it work. And here you are still in disbelief. You can't ask the company...you can only try to question me.

From 2010:

"Take any type of hydrocarbon-only plastic, HDPE for example. You can find places willing to buy it for anywhere from $250 to $400 per ton and you can find places willing to sell it for $520 on up per ton. Other hydrocarbon-only plastics prices are comparable. It's clear to me that there's a market for sorted plastic. If Mr. Bordynuik has to pay market prices at $500/ton, then even at 100% efficiency in converting plastic to pyrolysis oil, the feedstock to produce a barrel of pyrolysis oil would cost $73.50."

"Given that Mr. Bordynuik claims to be able to get his hydrocarbon-only for free or at very low cost, even getting paid to take it, a little bit of color on his strategy might be useful. You might ask why he doesn't just resell plastic to those recyclers since he says he can get it for free and recyclers will pay $400/ton."

Yes, I understand your penny stock also is the real deal, created with the inventiveness of Edison and destined to be the next Microsoft. Yes, I understand that the delays are also only because your company is making their product and/or technology even more revolutionary.
