It's beyond ludicrous to believe ntek had some sort of personal relationship with Nolan.
I never stated that.
It was an alledged e-mail from IR that said that the director had to give his OK before Interstellar could be on UF, and that the delay was caused because he wasn't available. That's all.
And after reading this
Quote:Since it was his work (of art), it seems logic to me that he first would take a look at the 4K version UF before being available for streaming since he apparently is not a big fan of digital cinema, and probably even more so of TV.
"Interstellar" is in theaters and if you head out to see it, you'll have a total of six different ways to view the film.
None of them will be in 3D, since director Christopher Nolan isn't a huge fan of the format. Rather, Nolan's a big advocate of IMAX and traditional film, making the movie on both 35mm film and 65mm IMAX. [/b]

Again, since Nolan put the effort into making the movie both in film and in IMAX to be viewed in those formats, it feels like you're losing something by seeing "Interstellar" in digital.

Kind of like the eternal discussion between vynil and CD music.
That doesn't need a personal relationship between Nolan and NTEK, it looks more as suspicion to me than a personal relationship.
As for the missing quotes on Paramount regarding the release on UF, it's like the Armada thing, nothing there neither. But most of us are used to it that this info comes from NTEK only.
Nobody but the pumpers seem to make a big deal of these "sweet, booyah, hooooh doggy" events.
At least the Interstellar confirmation brought the PPS back to where it was tuesday. Let's hope for a follow up.
One of the fiercest pumpers, the star man, is on Ihub already in full force posting what great things will be coming, getting everybody high hopes of the future, guessing upcoming releases of The Dark Knight, Titanic, Transformers, Star Trek, Iron Man, Deep Impact, Harry Potter, Gravity, The Matrix, I am legend, American Sniper, Flight, The Avengers "and my personal favorite 'Hot Tub Time Machine.' Lol Any of these would kick a$$ in 4k uhd. Woo-hooo!!!"
Others are anxiously awaiting the release of the Star Trek and Batman movies that have to be coming soon. Haven't they learned ?
