Humans tendency is to let down their guard once the crisis seems over but the ebola situation was recognized as a national security issue-as per articles noted below.
And w the rise of bioterrorism and threats by militant groups to engineer ebola and other nasties, any methodologies to quickly identify health threats should be given priority by the govt,including NNLX's application for funding for its quick diagnosis methods.
Even if there are other quick methods, the more the better in such a situation.
Can you explain the 21 day quarantines for ebola, measles and other pathogens IF there were already reliable quick diagnosis methods- this is outside my many specialties,plus time constraints. The idea is even quick methods cannot diagnose during the incubation period? Are no antibodies or other detectable immune system responses,or detectable pathogens developed during the incubation period?
