Since I prefer to stay with my feet firmly on the ground, let me look at yesterdays UF addition from a different angle.
In my view the biggest benefit of the 20 Armada video clips is to lure potential paying UF viewers. There's no PPV revenue from these (not at the moment at least) since they are free of charge. There are however adds appearing when in pause mode. So I suppose there is some revenue.
Remains to be seen how many of the EDM fans are into the content that is currently available on Ultraflix. BTW all clips are 'Silver', meaning upscaled HD.
So while we have content added on time, it is still very meager in terms of revenue content, as well as content duration with just 14 hrs in four weeks time. No new A-list movies, and far from what they claimed not even two months ago. Also they are still to cross the 200 hrs content line (now it has reached 174 hrs, with just short of 300 titles).
Anyway, they have made a small step in the right direction I would say.
