Smart Lighting Market Opportunities: Smart Bulbs and the Rise of Local Lighting Intelligence
M2 - Mon Mar 02, 10:56AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/mt8ljz/smart_lighting) has announced the addition of the "Smart Lighting Market Opportunities: Smart Bulbs and the Rise of Local Lighting Intelligence " report to their offering. In the past 18 months, the smart lighting business has taken important new directions, creating opportunities at every level of the lighting value chain. Smart lighting vendors now see their value proposition as having more to do with mood lighting than lighting efficiency. In addition, smart lighting is now conceived of as part of the Internet-of-Things (IoT) and not as just another lighting management system. This report reevaluates where the money will be made in smart lighting in the next years and examines the product market strategies of all the leading vendors active in this space. These have changed somewhat as some of the established lighting players have come to market with next-generation smart lighting products and new firms have entered the market, some even funding their efforts with Kickstarter campaigns. This illustrates how the tone of the smart lighting business has changed recently. Originally, smart lighting systems were sold as the most recent incarnation of traditional lighting management systems, but now they have become a cool electronic product, much like the iPhone. One of the questions this report therefore asks and answers is whether this shift will create new markets for smart lighting or whether it might actually put off some industrial and commercial lighting users. In addition to analyzing the products and markets for the new smart lighting, this report also includes a granular eight-year forecast for smart lighting with breakouts by type of lighting (residential, commercial, industrial and other) and market geography. These forecasts are presented in both volume and value terms. Key Topics Covered: Executive Summary Chapter One: Introduction Chapter Two: Smart Lighting Technology: State of the Art Chapter Three: Markets and Marketing for Smart Lighting Chapter Four: Firms to Watch in the New Smart Lighting Market - Belkin - Bridgelux - Daintree Networks - Echelon - Elgato - Fujikom - GE - Google - GreenWave Reality - Honeywell - Insteon - LIFX - Philips - Sensity Systems - Sensus - Silver Spring Networks - Spark Devices For more information visit http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/mt...t_lighting

Global Smart Grid Data Analytics Market 2015-2019 with Accenture, AutoGrid, Itron, Sensus & Silver Spring Networks Dominating
M2 - Sat Jan 31, 1:01AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/dcbdr5/global_smart_grid) has announced the addition of the "Global Smart Grid Data Analytics Market 2015-2019" report to their offering. The Global Smart Grid Data Analytics Market to grow at a CAGR of 20% over the period 2014-2019 Data management had not been a major concern for the power utilities in the past and the customer related fields such as metering and billing had been the only data intensive elements prior to the development of smart grids. In order to improve the amount as well as the quality of data, SCADA and AMI systems were developed which ultimately bettered the quality of data which utilities had on supply and generation end. With the fast development of smart grids and smart grid related equipment and solutions, the major concern for the power utilities is the management of data generated by these smart grid applications. With increase in the smart grid deployments, smart grid data analytics will become essential and vital to manage the large chunks of data. One key trend in the market is the increase in the installation of smart energy meters. Power utilities worldwide are investing to change the way data are transmitted to and collected from consumers through various communication networks. AMI-enabled meters are being deployed to facilitate two-way communication between utilities and consumers. According to the report, one of the major drivers of the market is the growth in the deployment of smart grid. There are several large-scale projects being undertaken by global companies for smart grid development. Further, the report states that one of the key challenges in this market is the lack of industry standards. Regulatory authorities worldwide follow an array of common standards to bring in more consistency and steadiness within the Global Smart Grid Data Analytics market, as the absence of such standards would create issues during the interoperability of metering systems.
