KALAMA, WA, Apr 11, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Tytan Holdings, Inc. ("the
Company") (PINKSHEETS: TYTN), is pleased to announce the signing of a contract
with a key Chinese tractor manufacturer to build a new 40 HP Propane 4WD
Tractor.
This concept and design is the result of a tremendous amount engineering and
preparation. It has never been done before. This tractor is designed to serve
the needs of greenhouse and organic farmers, as well as other markets. "The
engineering in this project is far more involved than the average person might
realize," commented CEO Mark Leonard.
Model 404GP tractor will be built on a tried and tested chassis; one that has
proven to be rugged, reliable and durable over the years. Among the key
differences is a specially designed, low emission propane engine. Additionally
the 404GP will feature a very low "creeper gear range" that allows the tractor
to move at very slow speeds as well as regular speeds. Its stance will have the
ability to be set both wide for hillsides and narrow for row farming. Naturally,
it will "fit up" with all the other Tytan implements such as the front loader,
4N1 Bucket, rototiller, mower, sprayer, spreader etc.
Currently, the prototypes are undergoing two 500-hour endurance tests in both
China and Kalama. The results are good so far. CEO Leonard and one Dealer are
going over to China very soon to check on the status.
Tytan expects the 404GP to be ready for production in the next 3-4 months if
there are no snags or delays.
This is just one of the major projects that Tytan is currently working on. "This
is exactly the type of niche market that we want to take the lead on," said
Leonard.
