QDForum2015 speaker affiliations:
*there is talk of this event being somewhat impartial in nature but I would assert that upon closer inspection, that isn't quite the case. The list is slanted toward 3 commercial parties in particular; namely: Nanosys, Nanoco & QDV:
Nanosys:
**Paul Alivisatos...founder of QDot Corp, which was bought-out by Life Technologies...Alivisatos is also the founder of Nanosys & Solexant...he is also known to be a pioneer in QD & TQD research...but a highly respected figure in this field overall.
**Jason Hartlove...CEO of Nanosys.
**John Van Derlofske...3M...Nanosys related.
**Shinae Jun...Samsung (Nanosys semi-related)
Nanoco:
**Jed Dorsheimer...Cannacord...MM, investor & promoter for Nanoco.
**Nigel Pickett...CTO for Nanoco.
QDV:
**Vladimir Bulović...also a highly respected figure in the QD community...he is also tied at the hip to Seth Sullivan at QDV.
**Seth Sullivan...QDV
3rd-parties:
*Gerald Fuchs...Merck
*Xiaogang Peng...Najing Technology...wildcard.
*Jennifer K. Colegrove...an independent analyst w/ a respectable CV.
*Maria J. Doa...EPA.gov
and:

So, in keeping it real, QMC has also presented & spoken at various conferences/events over the last few years, & given that this is Sullivans party & that the totality of speakers are partial to 1 of 3 enterprises, it isn't hard to imagine why QMC doesn't feel it necessary to present or be a speaker at this event.
