''Spot seaborne iron ore lump premiums rose to $0.285 per dry metric tonne unit on Wednesday [back in early Dec], translating into an effective price of some $88–89 a tonne for 62% Fe.
so 1 of the points is bashers are being dishonest in multiple ways when they
1) quote 58%-
CWRN never shipped only 58% and only had some on 1st ship (along w 62%) because they hadnt received the 1st 68 drill results yet and trucking began ca 1-11-11 -only 3 days after the newly acquired mag sep was operational
and CWRN's 58% sinter fines are a WASTE byproduct of the 62-64.5% main product
2) they only quote the price for fines- because the price for lump is quite a bit higher
so as I noted above if 62% bench is only e.g. 60/ton , 64% lump -w an additional premium of .295 dmtu last month (changes every month) would be ca 81-82/ton
