I really don't believe this is a scam at all. Just a case of an optimistic CEO pr'ing events before they happen. She learned from that and is now waiting until the checks are in the bank before announcing it. Things don't always go as planned in business, I know, I'm a small business owner. Heck, The Cleveland Browns just announced that they signed Jordan Cameron to a two year deal, and 12 hours later, he's going to the Dolphins.
