United Kingdom Fast-Food & Home-Delivery Outlets Market Report 2015
M2 - Tue Mar 03, 6:24AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/4xrb6f/fastfood_and) has announced the addition of the "Fast-Food & Home-Delivery Outlets Market Report 2015" report to their offering. This market report examines the UK market for fast-food and home-delivery outlets. In 2014, the market continued to exhibit year-on-year growth, with total sales value increasing by 3.5% from the previous year. While this growth was spread across all five market sectors - burgers, pizza, fish and chips, chicken and other fast-food and takeaway outlets - sales performance varied quite substantially therein. The burgers category, for instance, remains the largest in this market but exhibited the slowest rate of growth in 2014 owing to the high saturation and growing competition from restaurants in the quick-service market. As such, the other fast-food and takeaway outlets sector, which contains enterprises such as kebab shops, Chinese and Indian home-delivery outlets and emerging Mexican fast-food chains, is increasingly rivalling the burgers sector in terms of total sales value. The chicken sector, on the other hand, is currently the smallest operating in this market and yet it posted healthy growth in 2014, based partially on the perception that chicken is healthier than red-meat alternatives. Health concerns, within the context of an ongoing obesity crisis and increasing cases of diabetes among children, are an important consideration with regard to brand strategy. In recent years there has been an influx of healthier new product developments (NPDs) in this market, but it is important that any NPDs remain consistent with brand strategy and the key market drivers of convenience, price and taste. To avoid over-complicated menus and the potential dilution of brand appeal, leading companies are increasingly introducing temporary NPDs to retain a sense of exclusivity, while exploiting seasonal trends. The fact that the UK market for fast-food and home-delivery outlets continues to grow, in spite of these various challenges, is a testament to the robust nature of the marketplace and the widespread popularity of products and brands in this market. While individual sector performance will remain somewhat dynamic, market growth is estimated to be 9.2% between 2015 and 2019. Key Topics Covered: 1. Foreword 2. Introduction and Definition 3.
