I needed groceries at HEB, and did my typical check, and it looks like Bikini Ready (BR) is still selling okay, and like I said before, now holds more than double the shelf space than the initial spacing available. They also carry the BR gummies.
My next stop was CVS Pharmacy, and was disappointed that they didn't carry any of the Martha Stewart Essentials brands (MSE). I checked up front, too, and the lady was correct that they mostly carry their own brand, plus another, and those that don't have a high demand are offered online with many others. I had her check the computer system for any of the MSE products with no luck. I thanked her for her assistance and moved on.
So my next visit was Walgreens, and this is where things get interesting. I was so sure that they would sell MSE in store, and I began thoroughly walking the aisles hoping that it would stand out just as BR did at HEB when I first came across it. Again I was disappointed, but before long, a gentleman approached me and asked if he could help me find anything. He appeared to be a store manager. When I told him that I was looking for the Martha Stewart Essentials brand of supplements, he explained that he didn't think they had it in store, and took me to the front so he could check on the computer system.
I listened intently as both he and a fellow co-worker discussed MSE, and was kind of shocked at what I was hearing as the two spoke. They both remembered the product from a YEAR ago, but the woman talked about it being taken off market and RECALLED. Wait..... MSE was recalled?
When I got home I did a quick check online, and they still offer the six capsule brands, as well as the gummies. However, only THREE are currently available in stores now, apparently, and when I did a check with my own zipcode, NONE of them were available in my area.
The next time someone speaks with Michael, they need to ask him if there was indeed any type of recall on their MSE products with Walgreens, and why it wasn't PRed if that was the case. For some reason, the former sales figures are starting to make a hell of a lot more sense.
