That what I'm thinking. Completely my own logic though. The point I was bringing up is not that the slides failed that is part of what might happen in an actual emergency. So I'm hoping from the FAA's perspective its not the slide failure that requires a repeat of the test but rather the staffs reaction to the failure. What did the individuals at the doors who's slides didn't deploy do? Did they Immediately redirect the participants to alternate doors or stand there not knowing what to do? Seems like a plausible way of looking at it and if so, maybe a pass is possible? But who knows???
