Last time the slides were inspected as they were repacked at BF Goodrich in Florida. They had to be expedited from Florida to MI. Unfortunately the slides had to be hefted aboard a transport plane. They are also considered hazardous material. So everyone of those were supposed to go on individuals planes etc.
When they finally resolved this the time parameters have been exceeded and by the time the slides could get installed and the mini vac could be executed it was near 12:00 am
Due to other issues I won't spend my time on the FAA said "let's not pursue this at this time. We will reschedule in February."
So here we are. No it will NOT take all the flagellation, gesticulation and superfluous activity this time. They will cut right to the chase IMHO.
