Global Gasification Market 2015-2019 with Air Liquide, GE, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Royal Dutch Shell & Siemens Energy Dominating
M2 - Fri Jan 30, 11:56PM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/l5bz52/global) has announced the addition of the "Global Gasification Market 2015-2019" report to their offering. The Global Gasification market to grow at a CAGR of 13.1% over the period 2014-2019. Gasification is a thermochemical process that converts hydrocarbons such as coal, petroleum, petcoke, natural gas, and biomass into simple molecules, primarily resulting in a mixture called syngas (carbon monoxide and hydrogen) by means of partial oxidation with air, oxygen, or steam. The key advantage of gasification is its ability to perform in various designs having a reduced environmental footprint as compared to combustion technologies. There are several gasifier designs and operating conditions. The most vital component of the gasification process is the gasifier, a vessel in which the feedstock reacts with air or oxygen at high temperatures. The carbon monoxide and hydrogen ratio depends on the hydrogen and carbon content of the feedstock and the type of gasifier. The adoption of underground coal gasification is one of the major trends upcoming in this market. The increased adoption of the UCG technology stems from the increased focus on R&D coupled with advances in technology. Gasification helps increase the overall operational efficiency of the Power Generation industry. According to the report, the energy demand worldwide has increased significantly and there has been a shift from traditional power generation techniques such as fossil fuel-based energy generation to renewable energy-based techniques. Industries across geographies are increasingly using fossil fuels as the primary source of energy, and therefore they have started to adopt the gasification technology to harness the clean energy obtained from coal. Further, the report states that the high upfront cost of the gasification technology is hampering the market growth significantly. The cost of gasifiers can go into billions, which makes it highly burdensome for investors. Moreover, the cost to construct and operate a gasification plant can be significantly high. The North American market highlights the potential of centrifugal air compressors which currently represent around 15% of the total market size by value. By 2020, the centrifugal air compressor market is expected to grow to double of its current size, representing over 30% of the total market size by value. The need of pure air in applications in FMCG, medical and pharmaceutical industries would increase the adoption of oil-free air compressors, which is expected to generate over 46% of market size by value by 2020. The North American market which was badly hit at the time of recession, is recovering due to the reinitiating of the stalled projects since 2012 onwards. Among the various lubrication methods, oil lubrication is commonly adopted in the North American market. The oil lubricated air compressors contributed more than ? of the market size by value in 2013. Based on mobility, the air compressor systems are segmented into stationary and portable models. The stationary air compressors were the major revenue contributors in 2013 and would continue to drive the market through 2020, based on their wide scale applications in heavy duty industry. The portable air compressors are found useful in on-site construction applications, FMCG industry and medical & pharmaceutical purposes. Conclusively, applications of air compressors are observed in enormous industries such as FMCG, oil & gas, manufacturing, automotive, etc., due to energy efficiency, eco-friendliness and portability of these machines. Additionally, the increased oil exploration activities in U.S.A. and Mexican territories are driving the usage of heavy duty air compressors in the region. Key findings of the study: - By 2020, the market size by value of oil-free air compressors would be at par with oil lubricated air compressors market. - The portable air compressors would experience increase in adoption during 2014 - 2020, generating about 45% of the market revenue by 2020. - The ability to operate with optimum power requirement and supply quality air output should increase adoption of air compressors among the non-industrial usages. - Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Kobe Steel, Ebara Corp., Sullair, VMAC, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Campbell Housefeld, Sulzer, and Porter Cable are the major market players that are profiled in the report. Among the various strategies adopted by these key players, product launch has emerged as the prime strategy which has been adopted by most of the players. Global Ballast Water Treatment Systems Market 2015-2019 with Alfa Laval, ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, N.E.I. Treatment Systems & Siemens Dominating
M2 - Fri Jan 09, 4:20AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/96cn8t/global_ballast) has announced the addition of the "Global Ballast Water Treatment Systems Market 2015-2019" report to their offering. The analysts forecast the Global Ballast Water Treatment Systems market to grow at a CAGR of 24.4% over the period 2014-2019. Ballast water treatment systems refer to various products that assist in removing impurities from ballast water, which is normally used by shipping vehicles to maintain balance and stability. The ballast water that is taken up by these ships at the port contains many harmful and toxic organisms. Ballast water treatment technologies are used to remove or destroy pesticide-active ingredients and other pollutants from ballast water and do not allow the discharge of invasive species into the new aquatic ecosystem. One of the major trends observed in the market is the increased need for water treatment in developing countries. Countries such as China, India, and Japan are facing serious ballast water treatment challenges and are thus promoting the use of ballast water treatment systems. According to the report, one of the major drivers of the market is the need for ballast water treatment and management. Residues and harmful organisms present in ballast water should be disposed of or managed properly. It is very important to manage water treatment residues carefully because, if discarded carelessly, they will be hazardous to the environment, further increasing water pollution. Further, the report states that one of the major challenges that the market faces is the high cost of ballast water treatment and raw materials, which makes it difficult to purchase enough ballast water treatment systems.
