Americans' Need for the Latest Technology Spurs Record-Breaking Smartphone Sales and Buyback Industry Growth
PR Newswire - Thu Feb 12, 8:00AM CST
The average American upgrades their mobile phone every 18 months[1], and, with top device manufacturers putting more devices in the hands of consumers through record smartphone sales in 2014[2], the buyback industry continues to grow. Today, ecoATM®, the nationwide network of automated electronics recycling kiosks, announced that it has collected more than four million cell phones, tablets and MP3 players - nearly double the amount that online buyback competitors, such as Gazelle and uSell, have each reported. ecoATM kiosks can now be found in 1,890 locations in 42 states nationwide (as of December 2014).

Midwesterners Are Most Romantic in the U.S., According to Redbox Survey
Marketwired - Thu Jan 29, 10:00AM CST
If you're still looking for a valentine this year, consider moving to the Midwest. According to new research released today by Redbox, Midwesterners are more likely to rent romantic movies than movie-watchers in the West, Northeast and South. The "most romantic states" are Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa, based on the number of romantic titles rented at Redbox kiosks in 2014. And Green Bay, Wisconsin earned the honor of "most romantic city." On the flip side, Oregon residents are less likely to rent romantic movies than any other state; and the distinction of "least romantic city" goes to Midland, Texas.
