Conifex Timber Inc. ("Conifex" or the "Company" (TSX: CFF) today reported net income of $1.1 million or $0.05 per diluted share for the third quarter of 2014 compared to net income of $2.0 million or $0.10 per diluted share for the previous quarter and net loss of $0.1 million or $0.01 per share for the third quarter of 2013. ("Conifex" (TSX: CFF) announced today that, further to its news release on October 12, 2014, based on its current preliminary estimate and initial consultations with its contractors and original equipment vendors, it expects to complete repairs to the damaged equipment and commence commercial operations at the Mackenzie Power Project in the latter half of the first quarter of 2015. Conifex currently expects that any additional carrying costs due to the delay of commercial operations and incremental costs associated with equipment repairs will be substantially covered under Conifex Power Limited Partnership's insurance policies.

Conifex Timber Inc. ("Conifex" (TSX: CFF) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Conifex Power Limited Partnership ("CPLP" , commenced its 72 hour run test required to achieve the commercial operation date for the Mackenzie Power Project on Saturday, October 11, 2014. The entire facility performed well and met performance expectations for a period of 24 hours. However, CPLP subsequently halted the test prior to completion as a result of a failure of certain newly installed electrical equipment. Conifex is currently working with its contractors and equipment suppliers to remediate the matter and will re-schedule the 72 hour test as soon as appropriate thereafter.
