M2 - Thu Feb 05, 3:02AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/mv3k7f/road_freight) has announced the addition of the "Road Freight Transportation Market in the US 2015-2019" report to their offering. The Road Freight Transportation market in the US to grow at a CAGR of 4.67% over the period 2014-2019. Road freight transportation is the movement of goods by surface transportation carriers, such as trucks and trailers. It includes less than truckload and full truckload transportation carriers. In addition, road freight transportation includes refrigerated trucks, which are used for the transportation of temperature-sensitive products. Often, road freight service providers go beyond logistics and provide additional value-added services, such as loading and unloading, documentation services, door-to-door delivery, and packaging. They also provide strategic and operational value to many shippers worldwide. Currently, road freight service providers are improving logistics services by introducing innovative SCM. Vendors in this market are continually adopting the M&A strategy to increase their global presence and expand their product portfolio, as well as to achieve economies of scale in various SCM processes. M&A allows companies to expand their global customer base and their portfolio of products, solutions, and services. According to the report, one of the main drivers of the Road Freight Transportation market in the US is the developed logistics infrastructure. The growth of the market is driven by the highly developed roads and highways that provide the smooth movement of freight, which reduces transportation time. Further, the report states that rising costs of fuel increase the operational costs for road transportation service providers. Rising fuel costs are expected to add to the operational expenses, causing a decline in the growth of the Road Freight Transportation market in the US. On the basis of the type of road freight transportation carriers, the market is segmented as follows: - Full Truckload - LTL - Private Carriers Key Vendors - Con-way Inc. - J.B. Refrigerated Transport Market by Mode, Product Type, Application & by Region - Global Trends & Forecasts to 2019
M2 - Tue Jan 20, 5:29AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/w34qr8/refrigerated) has announced the addition of the "Refrigerated Transport Market by Mode, Product Type, Application & by Region - Global Trends & Forecasts to 2019" report to their offering. The global refrigerated transport market is projected to reach $93.656.4 billion by 2019, at a CAGR of 15.2% from 2014 The refrigerated transport market is projected to grow at a substantial rate for the next five years. The market for refrigerated transport has matured in regions such as North America and Europe due to the steady demands and consumption rate for perishable foods. The perishability of food products restrains the agriculture and food industries to export surplus produce in developing countries such as China, India and the Latin American countries. Lack of temperature-controlled infrastructure and uninterrupted cold chain facilities in these developing economies has led to the spoilage of large quantities of food products. These factors have driven the demand for a well-organized refrigerated transport market for the preservation and distribution of perishable food products under controlled temperatures. Further, government initiatives and shift in consumer taste and preferences such as high-protein foods and frozen foods is estimated to spur the growth of refrigerated transport market. The report provides detailed analysis of the refrigerated transport market, which is segmented on the basis of mode of transport in to road, rail, sea, and air. Chilled and frozen food products form the two key categories of product types which require refrigerated transport. There are four basic application areas of refrigerated transport fruits & vegetables, bakery & confectionary, dairy & frozen desserts, meat, fish & seafood, and other products such as sauces, condiments, salad dressings, and dips. Globally, meat, fish & seafood are estimated to account for the highest demand for refrigerated transport in 2014. The dairy & frozen desserts application is growing at the highest CAGR as the demand for these perishables are increasing in developing countries such as India, China, and the Latin American countries. The factors attributing the growth of dairy & frozen desserts in developing countries are the growth in population, increase in spending power, and lifestyle changes. Scope of the Report Refrigerated transport market, on the basis of key modes, has been segmented as follows: - Road - Rail - Sea - Air Refrigerated transport market, on the basis of key product types, has been segmented as follows: - Chilled - Frozen Refrigerated transport market, on the basis of key applications, has been segmented as follows: - Fruits & vegetables - Bakery & confectionery - Dairy & frozen desserts - Meat, fish & seafood - Others (sauces, condiments, salad dressings, and dips) Companies Mentioned - A.P.
