IMO, it's possible that the highly vaulted SAIC report was based on the false assumption of free plastic readily available in the quantity and more importantly quality needed. The first time JBI said plastic procurment of the right quantities and quality was critical for their success, was well after the SAIC report, which was shortly followed later with the first mention of problems with the feedstock that ultimately stopped production.
We're learning for the first time that JBI "paid" for plastic in the 3rd quarter. Why are they paying for plastic if it's readily availble for free?
What if the free plastic is what caused the problems, and the only way around it was to purchase expensive plastic feedstock?
This could be the very reason why JBI states that the SAIC report can no longer be relied upon.
IMO, it's telling how instead of JBI saying they have the free needed supply locked up with supplier agreements, they just mention that it's critical. This tells me they don't have access to the free quality plastics in the quantities needed yet.
