This has been going on for a long time. Today we have the Internet. Back in the day we had Randolph Hearst, the media mogul of his time. The Hearst Corporation stood to lose a lot of money if it could not destroy hemp production. Just like Big Pharma today will lose now if it cannot destroy medical marijuana. Like the internet trolls of today the Hearst Corporation, joined by their friends Andrew Mellon and the DuPonts used their newspaper for a disinformation campaign and linked marijuana to hemp.
