(Nasdaq: ICPT ) (Intercept), a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of novel bile acid therapeutics to treat chronic liver diseases, today announced the completion of its previously announced underwritten public offering of 1,000,000 shares of its common stock. In addition, the underwriters have exercised in full their option to purchase an additional 150,000 shares of common stock.
All shares in the offering were sold by Intercept at a public offering price of $176.00 per share. Net proceeds to Intercept are expected to be approximately $191.2 million, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses.
Citigroup, RBC Capital Markets and Deutsche Bank Securities acted as joint book-running managers and underwriters for the offering.
