Good post, fitzkarz. Or, to put it in another way, it is like drinking poison and hoping your enemy dies. But that is all most of us know. An eye for an eye. I was studying King Davids life. He committed adultery and murder. Under the old testament law, there was no sacrifice for that, only death as the punishment. I asked the Lord, how did you forgive King David? "Well, he was merciful to King Saul when he didn't have to be. So I was merciful to him when I didn't have to be." Saul was trying to kill David and David had two opportunities to kill Saul, but he would not. He left judgment to God. Experiencing His mercy enables us to extend mercy to others. My best to all, Jim
