FXCM is a well established FX broker, been in business a long time.
Matter of fact I use to have an account with them until they had to kick out all their U.S. customers back in the mid 2000's. (Asia based)
From my experience back then they gave me good service on my account..
They got caught up in the Swiss FX debacle a couple of months ago, and actually it was mainly due to them being a Non dealing desk broker, which in the FX world is a good thing for a trader.. (they don't trade against the trader) They got screwed because they offered traders a better trading environment than many of the other FX Brokers.. Many FX brokers themselves take the other side of your trade so that means they make money if you lose money.. humm.. FXCM does not do that.
This stock gapped down big time, FXCM took a BIG financial hit, when the Swiss did their thing and is now trading much lower.
I would expect this stock to move up in the future as they have taken a proactive approach to stabilizing their financial situation. I would darn sure do some DD on them but I also think this is a play that has a good probability of being profitable.
