...or so investors have been told since 2009. The only problem was delays caused by delays in shipping the Donghe processor, an asbestos glove, a stack test, an air permit, parts wearing out, addition of a ram feed system, bad feedstock, rain on feedstock, bad feedstock again, tinkerfarking to further increase throughput and then to receive new permits, tinkerfarking with used oil/HTF to increase efficiency, shutdown for construction of additional processors, the slowest equipment start up in history, condensers breaking because the facility was idle and left unheated in winter, etc..., etc....
Any suspicion that there might be more to the story than a long string of bad luck stopping that ASTM spec fuel coming to market for under $10/bbl??
Most of the time, investors are allowed to think things are going smoothly. The typical delay at PTOI lasts a quarter or two and isn't disclosed until well after the delay started...and once a delay is disclosed, investors are quickly told that the delay has been fixed.
And if you believe the reasons given by PTOI for the string of delays were the real reasons then you're going to be amazed and impressed when you see my predictions of further delays come to pass. And also in three years (Jan 2, 2018) no real cash for a processor will have changed hands between EcoNavigation and PTOI--that's how amazing my predictions are.
