Darth Pilot is right in his recent posts. Cabin crew is getting payed some lousy money called stipend.
Baltia didn't deduct any tax from this income, so the flight attendants are responsible to pay tax on all of the money they received from Baltia. Guess what, most of them don't have the money to pay the tax on the income, since that what they have received was barely enough to pay the bills. Management refused to give them an employment status until certified. They don't get any benefits.
Many paychecks have bounced in the recent months to several employees in different levels of employment. And to some of them it bounced more than ones. Moral is low.
Does look that Baltia is able to finance a transcontinental operation? It costs about $500 000 to fill a plane with fuel for one roundtrip.
