Niko said. <<<When NTEK began this journey ONLY Seiki had a sub-$1.5K 4K TV. 4K TVs were in the "very early adoption" stage: $5,000.00 plus 4K TVs were the norm; $25,000.00 & up available as well.NTEK used existing chips & know-how to engineer OTT (over-the-top) boxes that could SHOWCASE how UltraHD/4K is commercially viable NOW!!! American Film Market was the first of MANY Trade Shows (the DD exists as I have personally posted on these matters) where NTEK had a Lasergraphics Film Scanner, a Nuvola Streaming Media Player & the predecessor of UltraFlix to showcase UltraHD/4K Streaming. They had to do all this on a Seiki 4K TV because they were the ONLY reasonably-priced 4K option... UltraHD/4K TVs are getting better at processing, most have chipsets to stream & the Nuvola market size for retail is NOT AS LARGE as the UltraFlix (Smart 4K TV market) will be VERY SOON!!! I don't even think NTEK bothered to file any patents on their units which may be found on Amazon & the NanoTech Entertainment Wesite... EVERYTHING I SAID is TRUE!!! And every BIT OF IT may be self-verified: NTEKs priority is getting the UltraFlix channel ported on ALL UltraHD 4K TVs with commitments from EVERYONE already in place!! They have acquired content, financed content, are remastering & rendering content & even shooting their OWN Original Series Ultra HD 4K Programming. They got VI in 18months & did what it took Mark Cuban (over FIVE YEARS) to do when society transitioned from Standard Definition to High Definition; the same transition that made Mark Cuban a BILLIONAIRE & the same technological transition that we are undergoing today!!! Took Mark Cuban FIVE YEARS to get High Def vertically integrated to advantage the on-coming transition; NTEK is months away from having a HUGE HEAD START in
the coming UltraHD 4K transition./i]
Best of luck to all the non bashing longs!
