Thanks for the document, I agree the document you linked does not say anything about the use of slides, however if you open the document located in 3.7.4 it takes you to Vol 3 Chapter 30 Section 8 "Reporting Evaluations Demonstration". This document contains the Emergency Evac demonstration report with the following "Instructions: Attach briefing card required by 14 CFR part 121, § 121.571 (b) or part 125, § 125.327 (c) and diagram of aircraft showing location of flight attendant seats, emergency equipment, and exits used for the demonstration." The #11 block says "type slides used" A. Inflatable B. Non Inflatable C. Slide raft. One of these blocks should be marked. After this document is complete it is then used as part of the certification paperwork. With all that said, I believe that if we did not see people exit (as stated in the instructions), I doubt we completed the evac since there were two groups (did we ever get an estimate of how many in each group?) of people (per firestream that went aboard...thanks for the play by play!!).
However, I believe there may be some hope as this document has not been updated since 2 Jun 2009, and I could not find anything that said mini evac as apposed to full evacuation. I sincerely hope that I am wrong on this one.
Could this have been the brief prior to execution that would take place today? I only ask because most things in the aviation world have a Brief / Execution Phase / De-brief.
I would love hear what those closest to the company think about it.
Let's go Baltia, 7 years in and looking for a pay day!!!!
