Sorry, but if the TA remains gagged (which i suspect he'll surely do-- i do hope not for all involved tho) then neither shorts leave nor get hurt. They'll have a period to cover, they'll load up shares, you'll see bidwacking, wash-trading, price-boxing, huge ask walls to imply upside weakness and then with speed-trading equipment they'll snatch shares right out from under best-bid they'll use to conver. They can easily manipulate the pps to keep volume appear as sells, to show the chart and tehcs as negative and of course (without transparency a la ml-style) they'll bash like hell to disuade new buyers and/or control the board, That's IF shorts are in the stock and they are threatened. Then, they'll cover and make new shorts, etc..

ml has to have a solid, conveyable strategy and plan but he doesn't strike me as up to the task. His focus in on getting capital for his business and doing it as easily as possible, He can always raise the A/S he can always dilute more. If he cared about shareholders I am afraid he'd have to actually work much harder on the stock end then he ever has. But, that's just my opinion and that is from my experience trading, watching and gaining insight from those much smarter than i.

Few short-raided stocks actually do well after an R/S because their CEO doesn't really care, they are not paying for it, they know they can R/S if necessary and they think it best (generally speaking) to focus their time on the business and not on the complaining shareholders.

Window for opportunity to effect chnge i think is gone but i could be very wrong! i hope for many of you that is exactly the case! happy to be wrong here....good luck to all.
