The flights will operate on weekdays Monday through Friday with continuing service to/from Fort Lauderdale. The addition of this one-stop flight gives Pensacola travelers three direct flights to Fort Lauderdale every weekday with additional connection opportunities. From Jacksonville, Silver offers more nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale than any other airline.

"Our new flights between Jacksonville and Pensacola are another example of our continued commitment to providing easy and convenient intra-state travel options for Florida residents and visitors," said Silver Airways CEO Sami Teittinen. "We look forward to offering even more business and leisure travelers the convenience of flying over driving."

"Over the last four years, my staff and I have really focused on developing our intra-Florida air service," said Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward. "By building relationships across our state and throughout the country, Pensacola is continuing to move upward. We're excited that Silver Airways sees Pensacola's value and is stepping up to meet the demand for business and leisure travel within Florida."

"We're very excited that Silver Airways is increasing their presence at JAX with this additional service to Pensacola," Jacksonville Aviation Authority Executive Director/CEO Steve Grossman said. "The community's continued support of Silver's intra-state service is essential to ensure customers have greater access to more of Florida's business and leisure destinations."

To celebrate the new service, Silver Airways is offering introductory fares from $69* (one way, including taxes and fees) through 11:59 pm EST on January 22, 2015, for travel between March 19, 2015 and May 22, 2015. For complete details, reservations and to receive email updates on Silver's special offers, visit silverairways.com .

As the airline of choice for Florida and the Bahamas, Silver offers more routes within Florida and between Florida and the Bahamas than any other airline.

From Jacksonville, Silver currently flies nonstop to Tampa and Fort Lauderdale, as well as seasonally to Marsh Harbour in the Abacos. On February 12, 2015, Silver is increasing its number of flights between Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale to four times daily on weekdays.

From Pensacola, Silver currently flies nonstop to Tampa and Orlando.

In addition, Silver Airways' connections offer customers the ease and convenience of seamless booking, ticketing and baggage handling with connections to dozens of destinations outside of Florida that are available via the airline's interline ticketing partnerships with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, United, US Airways, Bahamasair, Hahn Air and All Nippon Airways.

Members of United's MileagePlus® and JetBlue's TrueBlue customer loyalty programs can also earn frequent flyer awards for travel throughout Silver's Florida network.

All of Silver's flights are operated with its fleet of 27 highly reliable and fuel-efficient 34-seat Saab 340B Plus turbo-prop aircraft. With the lowest accident rate of any other commercial aircraft, Saab is the safest in the world.
