We have learned a letter from Shareholders were sent to the Chairman reasoning strongly against the acquisition of Cordis. The reasons are 1. no one at Cardinal can give any optimism for Cordis' Cardiology business; 2. Cardinal does not have capacity outside of US which is the majority of Cordis business; 3. Cardinal never proud itself in cutting edge med-tech not to mention sophiscated interventional cardiology. The letter predicts that due to severe business deterioration, Cardinal will be forced to sell Cordis cardiology business cheap within 1 year after acquisition; and will be auctioning off Peripheral business within 3 years after acquisition.
