Well Power, Inc. (WPWR) – Focused on the Complic
Post# of 77
The drawbacks of gas flaring—a persistent issue within the United States—continue to fuel Well Power’s mission. The company’s focus remains on its efforts to take on the complications caused by gas flaring. To advance objectives, Well Power’s managers continue to promote the flare-reducing technology they are building in association with ME Resources to potential investors and interested parties seeking to learn more about it.
Well Power has acquired an exclusive license to distribute ME Resources’ micro refinery unit in Texas for a period of five years. To secure other oil and gas producing regions within the United States, the company is now discussing the extension of its licensed distribution territory beyond the state.
The micro-refinery unit is designed to turn wasted raw natural gases, like shut-in and flared gases, into engineered fuels or electric power. It includes a container-sized unit that can turn 100,000 cubic feet of natural gas into clean power or engineered fuels on a daily basis.
Inside the unit, power-generation elements and catalytic devices mix with a micro-synthesizing system employing commercial technology to realize several liquid and power outputs. It is anticipated that this innovative system—a key piece of technology—will allow the micro-refinery unit to be mobile and cost-effective.
A lab-scale demonstration of the micro refinery unit is available at Ecolé Polytechnique de Montreal. This is also where Well Power and ME Resources are working closely with research and development teams and labs to develop the unit.
While there remain a number of operational matters and regulatory changes to study, the successful development and deployment of a mobile and modular micro-refinery unit would present many profitable business opportunities for Well Power and ME Resources. Consequently, the company is pressing ahead with its pilot project with ME Resource while also looking for an appropriate industry partner in Texas to launch the project.
