Wocket Get a load of this, Costanza. The Wocket replaces all your credit cards with a single, all-purpose smart card. Program it by tapping the front display for the card you want (Visa, Amex, Safeway, etc). The Wocket unlocks biometrically, and all your data stays encrypted and secure. It really is a smart wallet—provided you don't lose it. Preorder for $150.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA—Now that the main Expo hall here at CES is open to the public, it feels like the Big Show has truly begun. The crowds are massive, with gawking onlookers stacked elbow-to-elbow, shoving and jostling to get closer to 100-plus-inch televisions, crazy-expensive audio systems, and sleek concept cars. Given all the eye candy on display, it can be difficult to isolate the truly great products among the fray. But we’ve done our best, and we think we emerged with some real winners.
Some of these products are practical—like the Bluetooth door lock and the system for kids that turns tooth-brushing into a smartphone game. Some are pie-in-the-sky dreamy, like Mercedes-Benz’s beautiful self-driving sedan. And some, well, some are just fun toys. Welcome to CES.
