Unfortunately I missed out on today's banter, but in my defense I was having lunch with a few of Baltia's finest in order to discuss the current cost of fuel and how that would impact my Gentleman's Agreement regarding the upcoming Proving Flights.
You see, a lot is going on, but the company is not going to PR it.
Not until it is COMPLETE.
Over the past 5 years (and Hawk can confirm this), many times the company has let out information about an upcoming event, just to have something happen that post-pones that event, and then they take a beating on the boards for it. They have walked away with enough black eyes not to ever allow that to happen again.
So NO, you won't hear about the mini-evac or the ditching exercise or the commencement of Proving Flights until AFTER those events have been successfully completed.
(Well, the commencement of Proving Flights we can discover ourselves by watching flightaware.com, but Baltia isn't going to announce it).
Patience.....as always....but things are moving forward....in many more areas than just one.
In a nut shell.....thanks to the reduced cost of fuel these days.....it looks like the current fuel cost requirement might actually come in at about half of what was originally projected.
But true to their word and their responsibilities, all I could get out of the group was the dollar amount they would be looking for and an assurance from me that I would be ready on a moments notice.
