Herantis Pharma has initiated Phase 2 study with Cis-UCA Eye Drops in Patients with Dry Eye Syndrome, results expected in Q3/2015 Herantis Pharma Plc. Company release 7 January 2015 at 9:00 am Herantis Pharma Plc. has initiated its Phase 2 clinical study with Cis-UCA Eye Drops in patients with Dry Eye Syndrome. In the study, 150 patients with Dry Eye Syndrome will be randomized to receive 4 weeks of treatment with either placebo eye drops or two different strengths of cis-UCA Eye Drops. The objective of the study is to compare the safety and efficacy of Cis-UCA Eye Drops to placebo, for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of Dry Eye Syndrome. This study will be conducted in the USA by Ora, Inc., the world's leading independent, full-service ophthalmic clinical research and product development firm, who has worked with Herantis on cis-UCA development for the past three years, including supporting requirements for clinical supply manufacturing, preclinical efficacy screening and regulatory guidance and interface.
