Astoria Financial Corporation (NYSE: AF) ("Astoria", the "Company" , the holding company for Astoria Bank ("the Bank" today reported net income available to common shareholders of $16.6 million, or $0.17 diluted earnings per common share ("diluted EPS" , for the quarter ended September 30, 2014, compared to net income available to common shareholders of $14.7 million, or $0.15 diluted EPS, for the quarter ended September 30, 2013. For the nine months ended September 30, 2014, net income available to common shareholders totaled $66.1 million, or $0.66 diluted EPS, compared to $41.4 million, or $0.42 diluted EPS, for the 2013 comparable period.
