MobiTV Wins Best in Biz Award for TV Everywhere Software Solution

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Dec. 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MobiTV , a global leader in enabling delivery of live and on-demand TV Everywhere, today announced that it has been named a silver winner in the Enterprise of the Year—Software category in Best in Biz Awards 2014 , the only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.

MobiTV's cutting-edge TV Everywhere platform was honored for delivering personalized TV services across screens—including smartphones, tablets and PC browsers—anytime, anywhere. Its software-based end-to-end solution delivers content seamlessly inside and outside the home, placing the viewers at the center of their TV viewing experience. The solution allows the end user to time and place shift across traditional and non-traditional screens, while customizing and configuring multiple users and devices to be managed within a single account. It simplifies the process and intelligently recognizes the difference between shared and individual viewing experiences, sending the most appropriate content and ad interactions to the right user on the right device, in the most bandwidth-optimized manner.

Best in Biz Awards' fourth annual North American program was its most competitive yet. As in previous years, this year's program featured a large and distinguished judging panel comprised of members of the media who reviewed and scored the hundreds of award nominations. More than 550 award nominations were received this year in a variety of company, executive, team, and product focused categories. Nominations were fielded from public and private companies of all sizes, from virtually every major industry and region in the U.S. and Canada.

"The traditional home viewing experience is evolving rapidly, and consumers are hungry for customized content that's delivered directly to their second screen devices," said Charlie Nooney, CEO and Chairman of MobiTV. "This accolade from Best in Biz and an esteemed group of industry leaders further validates MobiTV's mission of delivering customized content to viewers across screens, anytime, anywhere.
