The artificial ingredients come from the flavoring. The basic formula for an e-liquid is Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycol, Nicotine and flavor extract. Most if not all flavor extracts have artificial ingredients. The flavor extract most companies use is the same ones you buy to bake and cook with.
