Multi-State Insurance Carrier Selects StoneRiver's Stream(R) Suite for Billing, Claims and Policy

DENVER, Dec. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StoneRiver, Inc. , the trusted insurance technology partner with solutions across multiple business lines, announced today that a multi-state insurance carrier has selected StoneRiver's Stream® Suite for Billing, Claims and Policy. The decision was based on StoneRiver's deep functionality and Insurance Integration Platform (IIP™) technology.

The insurance carrier currently writes workers' compensation insurance; however, with the implementation of StoneRiver's Stream Suite, the carrier will offer other Commercial Lines products. The integration of Stream Billing will allow clients to receive one bill for its workers' compensation and commercial lines policies. Stream Policy and Stream Claims will be implemented to allow for commercial lines business processing. Stream Policy will allow the carrier to configure and rate its commercial lines business.

The carrier has prospered and grown its workers' compensation business by working closely with its customers and agents, and by being responsive to their needs. "Our customers and agents have expressed the need for commercial lines products. Not only does the StoneRiver Stream Suite provide a solid solution to the commercial lines products, but the partnership we've formed with StoneRiver is strong and successful, and it allows us to deliver on our commitment," said the CEO of the multi-state insurance carrier.

By selecting StoneRiver's Stream Suite, the carrier will focus on providing new products and great service to its agents and insureds. In addition, the carrier intends to accomplish the following:

•  Leverage the Stream IIP architecture to deploy user interfaces and integrate specialized services.
•  Use Stream configuration to quickly add new lines of business, products, plans, coverages and forms.
•  Take advantage of Stream Suite's efficient workflow, business processes and business rules.
•  Implement Account billing for Workers' Comp and Commercial Lines policies.

StoneRiver President and CEO Gary Anderson noted, "This is an excellent example of how insurers, who are looking toward the future, want a suite designed to adapt as new needs emerge. It also validates the rich functionality and technology the Stream Suite offers."
