LOL......at the old prices, at "full throttle", it was estimated that N706BL would burn through $15,000 per hour of fuel.
Maximum 100 hours of Proving Flights would be $1.5 million, but keep in mind I am one of three who has pledged to provide funding for the flights.....AND that the cost of fuel has come down dramatically.....AND that some (if not all) of the costs of fuel could very well be offset by carrying cargo on the flights.
Carrying cargo during the Proving Flights is allowed and is actually encouraged by the FAA (any carrier moving cargo from point A to point B.....along the same route as N706BL during the proving flights....would be more than happy to allow Baltia to carry that cargo for them at a discounted cost to them).
