Exact Sciences President, CEO and Chairman Kevin T. Conroy Named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Award winner for the Midwest
Award recognizes entrepreneurial excellence in the Biotechnology category
MADISON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Wednesday night, EY announced that Kevin T. Conroy, President, CEO and Chairman of Exact Sciences Corp. (Nasdaq: EXAS), a molecular diagnostics company focused on the early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer, received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Award in the Biotechnology category in the Midwest. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Conroy was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at Navy Pier in Chicago on June 18.

Exact Sciences is currently awaiting a U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) decision for the Cologuard® Screening Test, a multi-target stool DNA-based screening test for colorectal cancer. Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Molecular and Clinical Genetics Panel of the Medical Devices Advisory Committee unanimously supported the safety and efficacy of Cologuard®.
Now in its 28th year, the program has honored the inspirational leadership of such entrepreneurs as Howard Schultz of Starbucks Coffee Company, Pierre Omidyar of eBay, Inc., and Mindy Grossman of HSN.
