At this price point it's no wonder why 4K UHD is fast becoming the standard in home video entertainment. Sure, both are entry level 4K televisions but wow! I don't see how they can produce these, ship them over here with middlemen, etc and make any profit. These have to be clearance for newer 4k models running at 60hz instead of 30. So, they may not be great for gaming but for watching movies, Great!
I don't know how to make the links below show up as a point and click, so just copy and paste these two in a new browser. Or if you don't trust the link, go to tigerdirect.com and search for yourself. Many Samsung 4k models have already been sold out!
4K is going to bigger FASTER than the "pro analysts" had envisioned. Foley recognized this way back at the beginning of 2013 at CES 2013 before most people had even heard of 4K. I knew this holiday season would exponentially ramp 4K up past the next level to a full blown all sprint, chasing the consumer dollars. We're in a television manufacturer's 4K Price War!
Who benefits from that? The consumer and Nanotech Entertainment. Affordable tvs NOW and content available from only a couple of companies with NTEK being in the forefront.
People may think the IMAX videos and the MMA channel are not enough, fine let them. It'll merely be scratching NTEK's content surface in a couple of months. But no matter, right now here is what we have. Joe and Sue average consumer hook up their $399.00 50" 4K television from Seiki and search for 4K content. They come across NTEK and see they offer IMAX videos. Hmmmm, IMAX, I've heard of that says Joe to Sue. Lets give that a try. Oh great we can stream it, no waiting, no snail mail dvd's and no having to drive to some box across town to rent a disc. This is great exclaims Sue! They decide to STREAM one and KaBOOOM! They are blown away! Large screen IMAX in their living room. Who would've thunk it! Joe and Sue are very happy because:
a. They now own a large screen television that cost less than a 1080p.
b. They can view IMAX in 4K
c. They talk about it at work
d. They invite friends and family to watch
e. They tell them they can get it all for $399.00
f. Friends/family/coworkers all get one and ....
g. NTEK is there to fill their 4K desires.
No one ever promised overnight success and a massive overnight library of 4K. If it was that easy why hasn't Netflix, Sony, Samsung, whomever, already done it? We know several have tried to sell lackluster 4k boxes with preloaded videos for $500-$700 that only ran on some televisions and any additional videos had to be painstakingly downloaded. They're practically giving them away online and at Best Buy. Go see for yourself, they're junk and no ones buying.
I have learned, on what I believe is fairly good authority, NTEK is going to announce they have secured a major content deal way bigger than what we've seen thus far. All these people getting paid to bash NTEK will be gone in relatively short order. And if they're not, who cares, NTEK marches on as the 4K leader.
