OTTAWA, Dec. 4, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Validian Corp. (VLDI), a leader in cyber-security technology that provides secure access, retrieval, transfer, receipt and storage of digital information on mobile and non-mobile devices using wired, wireless and mobile networks over the Internet, is pleased to announce that it has joined forces with a new Channel Partner to develop the world's first secure Mobile Messaging App that will provide instant messaging and file transfer of digital information in any form, format and size on a Peer-To-Peer (P2P) basis, primarily for enterprise and government markets.
Validian has the only technology that secures peer-to-peer transmissions and has recently extended this capability to mobile devices, opening up a significant number of opportunities. Current Mobile Messaging Apps, including social chat apps and mobile file transfer apps, are geared for the teenage, young adult and general consumer market and lack the security, structure and perception necessary for adoption by enterprise and government markets. Furthermore, the use of P2P infrastructure results in significant operational cost savings as compared to the traditional client-server infrastructure that burdens other Mobile Messaging Apps.
Validian President and CEO, Bruce Benn, commented, "We are pleased to be working with an established channel partner that already has millions of end users. This further positions Validian to take advantage of recent market valuations for emerging technology companies, which have been ranging from $40 to $100 per mobile endpoint."
