$GRNE- About Landis Landis Aveda Salons, Inc. opened its doors in 2005 in Salt Lake City, UT. Within a year of opening, Landis Salons quickly became one of the premier salons in the state. Today it is the number one Aveda lifestyle salon in the state and consistently outperforms other high end boutique salons. Its staff consists of high quality stylists, aestheticians, and other professionals that fit the needs of its varied and diverse clientele. In addition, to its Grand Salon staff, which have a minimum of three years experience or have had extensive training with Aveda products, hair cutting, etc, Landis Salons is unique in that it provides a year long program to train new talent. This allows the Company to consistently grow and ensures that it always has the most talented staff to provide exceptional service and care to its clients. Recently, Landis Salon’s owner Richard Surber decided to build upon the Company’s success and expand to new locations. His vision is to open at least two additional Aveda lifestyle salons in the greater Salt Lake area in 2010-2011. Due to Landis Salons consistent increase in business as well as its ability to recruit and train highly qualified staff, the Company believes it has the winning formula to expand into multiple locations, yet still maintain a local community feel. Landis Salons currently has more than 50 full time employees and two locations, with plans to add a third in summer of 2010 and fourth location within the next year. In 2009, Salon Today ranked Landis Salons one of the top 200 salons in the country; it was the winner of Salon Wars 2009 (a competition pitting the top salons against each other); and it has developed a reputation in the community as both warm and welcoming and a community participator of local charities and events.
