either Long beach or LA is said to be 1st pacific port to upgrade to such w 53' draft
ESE actually did very well for such a small port upgrading to 14.5m navigational channel and eit 2 theortical draft of 14.5m (ca 47')
bridge to newark is being raised to accommodate and nyc dredging deeper
